NEWSROOM (ADV) – The 14th edition of the Air Festival, which aims to promote the cultural heritage of Niger, opened Friday in Iferouane, in the region of Agadez (north), under the theme “security, development”, a we learned from official sources.
The event was attended by leaders of the country, including Prime Minister Brigi Rafini and Parliament Speaker Tinni Ousseini, as well as senior officials of the institutions and the diplomatic corps in the country.
For three days, several cultural activities, parades of donkeys, the fantasia of camels, are scheduled in the program. Added to this is a trip to the deserts of Aïr and Tenere for the benefit of invited guests to discover the tourist potential that abounds in this part of the country.
According to Brigi Rafini, the theme of this edition was chosen given the particularly difficult security context, marked by “security threats in some countries around us."
