NBCUniversal Formats is building on the successful Real Housewives franchise with another South African edition.
Produced by Trace Studios, The Real Housewives of Cape Town will launch on Mzansi Magic on July 10. The new series is the 17th international version of the franchise and the third South African version, following previous instalments set in Johannesburg and Durban.
The new series’ cast includes investor Beverley Steyn; trainer Rushda Moosajee, who has a large social media following; blogger and entrepreneur Loveline Abinokhauno; wine connoisseur Thato Montse; humanitarian and beekeeper Camilla McDowell; style company owner Kutazwa “Rooksy” Gqirana; and chartered accountant and property entrepreneur Lulwando “Lue” Tukwayo.
